About Me
I grew up in Atlanta, GA and have been in Austin, TX since 2015. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2003 and my Masters in Social Work in 2005, both from the University of Georgia.
In my 20 years as a therapist, I've worked with clients age 5 to 90, and with couples as well as individuals. I've provided in-home therapy, crisis based therapy, ongoing counseling, and therapy in nonprofit and hospital settings. I've also provided services to veterans and military servicemen/women, and their spouses and children.
I continue to find daily fulfillment in "being with" people on their journey of healing. I have an amazing family in Atlanta, which keeps my heart in Atlanta. But I have strong roots in Austin, so I am licensed to see clients in both GA and TX. I enjoy time outside, runs with my sweet pup, nice relaxing bike rides, connecting with people I love, traveling, and expanding my skills to help people work towards their personal goals.

I have prescribed myself a dose of laughter daily, even during the challenging times in life, and I incorporate this belief system when working with clients. Even through healing from the most challenging life experiences, there can be a sense of grace, curiosity, and humor.

I strive to ensure all feel welcome, heard, seen, valued, and respected. I work from a trauma-informed lens to provide a welcoming, safe and affirming space for all (age, race, religion, ethnicity, culture, political, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, military status, economic status...)
This ride we call life can have many twists and turns... and it undoubtedly includes suffering. I have full admiration, respect, and compassion for people seeking to heal from life challenges and traumatic experiences. I look forward to meeting you so we can work together on your healing.
